In the CIP covering the 2025-2029 fiscal years, Bozeman detailed plans to spend $338 million on capital projects, an increase of 13% from $349 million in its 2024-2028 CIP. The current CIP has 357 line items, compared to 352 line items in the prior CIP. The table below breaks down Bozeman’s planned capital spending by business area for its last two CIPs.

Planned spending in the Wastewater Impact Fee increased by 359% due to the transfer of projects. This transfer included the Water Reclamation Facility Phase 1 and 2, totaling $21 million, from the Wastewater category. Consequently, there was a 46% decrease under this category.
Bozeman has two notable line items valued at over $25 million and three at over $10 million. The largest line item is the construction of consolidated and expanded facility capacity for Streets, Water, Sewer,Stormwater, Water Conservation, Parks, and Facilities operations, worth $56 million, under the Shops Complex category.
