Did you know… that on March 17 the US Bureau of Reclamation announced it will be awarding $42.4 million in grants to 55 projects throughout 13 states?

 

A little more…The awarded projects, which are planned to be completed by 2025, will improve water efficiency and conservation. Projects include updating SCADA systems, advanced metering, and installing residential water meters in urban areas. Accepted projects are located in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. One project includes a $1.1 million project in the Bard Water District in California, which will use the awarded funds to complete a canal lining project, saving 701 acre-feet of water. The infrastructure modernization among these 13 states is expected to conserve 98,000 acre-feet of water per year.
