Summary: Introduced on March 23, 2020, this bill provides a supplemental $8.3 billion in emergency funding to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Affected government agencies are the Department of Health and Human Services, the State Department, and the Small Business Administration. The purpose of these funds is in developing and procuring vaccines and other medical supplies; grants for state, local, and tribal public health agencies and organizations; loans for affected small businesses; humanitarian assistance and support for health systems in the affected countries."

Summary: March 26, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced a temporary policy regarding regulatory enforcement of environmental legal obligations during the COVID-19 pandemic. The EPA will exercise significant discretion for specified noncompliance and will not expect to seek penalties for civil violations resulting from the pandemic.
This policy will apply retroactively beginning on March 13, 2020. Also, the agency will assess and update this temporary policy regularly.

Summary: Proposed on February 20, 2020, EPA’s Regulatory Determinations are steps to implement the Agency’s PFAS Action Plan and are meant to regulate the presence of two PFAS (PFOA and PFOS) chemicals in drinking water. Under Proposed Regulatory Determination of PFAS chemicals, EPA has set up a health advisory level in drinking water of 70 parts per trillion (ppt) for the two chemicals, individually or combined, as the level below which human health would not be hurt.
EPA will seek comment on these preliminary determinations for 60 days after the notice is published in the Federal Register.
