Most Significant Increase in Water and Public Events Areas
There is a significant increase in the Public Events category going to the Fort Worth Convention Center Expansion (FWCC) project, which increased by $150 million in the recent CIP. The Water category also increased going to existing projects. On the other hand, Aviation decreases due to projects nearing completion, including Joint Reseal & Pavement Repair Phase 3.
Over $500 Million Programmed For Convention Center Expansion
The City of Fort Worth has three notable line items valued at over $100 million. The largest line item is the FWCC Expansion and Project Management, under the Public Events category, worth $606 million.
