Planned spending increased by 70%, with funding allocated for a new project: The City of Modesto, on Union Pacific Railroad Fresno Subdivision, at Existing Modesto Transit Center, Construct New Passenger Rail Station with Two Side Platforms, Pedestrian Overcrossing, and Related Station Improvement project. The project is valued at $106 million, and will involve constructing a new passenger rail station with two side platforms, a pedestrian overcrossing, and other station improvements. Additionally, there was an increase of $34 million for an ongoing project, the North County Corridor - Phase 1 project, which involves constructing a 4-lane expressway from Oakdale Road to Claus Road.
